The International Student Association works hand in hand with the ISO, also sponsors various social and educational
programs throughout the year, including
Dessert Social during the Fall, where desserts from across the globe are
made and shared with the Tech Community, and
International Day during Spring, an annual campus event held to
showcase international food and culture to the local community. The
International Scholarship Dinner is
organized every year to raise scholarships for international students, and is our biggest event involving several people
at Tech and also the local community of Ruston.
The International Day held during Spring Quarter attracts more than 1000 people each year. Usually, students from about
30 different countries set up booths to sell a variety of aunthentic food and exhibit artifacts and pictures from their
homeland.
The International Scholarship Dinner is organized every Fall/Winter season to raise money for several scholarships that
are awarded to the financially needy international students who are involved actively in the ISA/ISO activities on the
campus. Every year around about 700 people comprising of the University students, faculty, and the local community
attend this evening of delicious food, a spectacular fashion show, and first class entertainment.
