Eco-Car Update

the team worked all day finishing details on both cars. wednesday night, we ran the urban car in the parking lot, and had 2 major issues.

first, the engine was not running well. this caused the engine to stall nearly every time that the drive system was engaged.
secondly, when we could get the engine powerful enough to not stall out, we were having trouble keeping the chain on the sprocket. these 2 issues followed us all day long. after many hours of working with it, the team decided that the fuel injection system was having to many issues, so the decision was made to change back to a carbureted engine.
this decision was also driven by the fact that the urban car schedule only allows for a maximum or 4 attempts (2:00 thursday, 1:00 fri, 2:00 fri, and sometime Sat morning). the team felt that it was best to make sure that we had a working car. so wed night a crew worked until around 2:00 in the morning to get the carbureted engine working.
